Event Navigation
The Boston Center for Independent Living and Partners for Youth with Disabilities are hosting a virtual workshop to discuss the ways we can support disabled youth and young adults in their transition to adulthood. We will go over the independent living movement, goal setting, services offered by BCIL and PYD, other supports available, creating a support map, and how to involve a student in their IEP process.
Date: Saturday, April 13, 2024
Time: 5:30-6:30 PM
Virtual: On Zoom
Eligibility: Parents, family members, educators and friends of youth/young adults with disabilities are welcome to attend. The workshop will focus on transition aged youth (14-26) as well as adult services available once students graduate and turn 22. Youth themselves are also welcome to attend.
