The Transition to Adulthood (TAP) Program at Boston Center for Independent Living (BCIL) is hosting an afterschool workshop, “Public Libraries: So Much More than Books” on Monday, June 29th at 4:00 PM.
This workshop will cover:
- Basic library services
- Digital services
- Community events and programs
- Library accessibility
- Community access passes
- Job and career services
- Other independent living resources offered at Libraries.
Date: Monday, June 29th
Time: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Virtual: On Zoom
Eligibility: High school students, ages 14-21 (up to their 22nd birthday) with a documented disability (i.e. Individualized Education Plan, 504 plan, other disability documentation), as well as adults looking to support students with independent living goals. Students, please submit your Disability Documentation to Maddie Heavey at mheavey@bostoncil.org
