Daniels–Finegold v. MBTA Settlement

December 10 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Join us for a historic milestone discussion and feedback session about the status of the Daniels-Finegold v. MBTA settlement agreement! Since its signing in 2006, the agreement has resulted in sweeping accessibility improvements that have benefited all riders. This progress would not have been possible without the dedication and ongoing collaboration between the named plaintiffs and the MBTA.

While more work remains, Independent Monitor Judge Patrick King will be discussing the MBTA’s substantial compliance with the agreement and the plaintiffs; and the MBTA’s plans to shift towards a community-based monitoring model, led by the Riders’ Transportation Access Group.

This public meeting will be an opportunity for riders to share feedback about the MBTA’s compliance with the settlement and proposed plans for the future directly with Judge King, Greater Boston Legal Services, the Boston Center for Independent Living, the Riders’ Transportation Access Group,  Interim MassDOT Secretary and MBTA General Manager & CEO Phillip Eng, and the MBTA Department of System-Wide Accessibility.

Note: This meeting is focused on bus, subway, Commuter Rail, and ferry accessibility, not on the RIDE.
