Daniels-Finegold v. MBTA settlement

June 11, 2025 @ 3:00 am - 5:00 pm

Dear Riders,

Please join us on June 11, 2025, from 3-5pm for a discussion and feedback session regarding the status of the Daniels-Finegold v. MBTA settlement agreement.

Since its signing in 2006, the agreement has resulted in sweeping improvements to accessibility that have benefited all riders.

While more work remains, Independent Monitor Judge Patrick King, the plaintiffs and the MBTA are in discussions regarding the future of the agreement as the MBTA approaches substantial compliance with its original commitments.

This public meeting will be an opportunity for riders to share their feedback regarding the MBTA’s compliance with the settlement directly with Judge King, Greater Boston Legal Services, Boston Center for Independent Living, the Riders’ Transportation Access Group, General Manager Eng, and the Department of System-Wide Accessibility.

Note: This meeting will be focused on bus, subway, commuter rail, and regional ferry accessibility. It will not include topics related to The RIDE.

Date: Wednesday, June 11, 2025
